Florida Licensing Course and Final Course Exam Completion Instructions. This is not the State Exam. Read Below.
We have implemented a two-factor authentication process to enhance security. Upon initiating the review of course materials via the start button, you will be prompted by a dialogue box to provide a unique verification code. This code is automatically sent to the email address associated with your account. Please review the email for the verification code, check your spam folder, if necessary. Access to the course will be granted once the verification code is successfully entered into the Learning Management System.
We will do our very best to make the process of completing your pre-licensing education requirements as simple as possible. Please be aware that our Learning Management System runs in Central Standard Time (CST). Your course access will expire at 11:59:59 pm CST on the expiration date. To ensure that you are meeting the state requirements, please complete all education prior to midnight Eastern Standard Time (EST) on the date your license expires.
Here is what you will need to do to help the process run smoothly:
COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE COURSE(S)
You must complete all of the content within the course in order to receive credit. Be aware that if you are inactive in a course for twenty minutes, the course will time out and you will need to log back in. More than 20 minutes on the course final exam will close and be treated as a fail.
In the Table of Contents within your course, on the left, you can click the + sign to expand each section. On the right hand side, you will see check marks turn from gray to green as you complete each section. You can also follow the percentage icon which will increase for every portion completed in each section, and clicking the bar chart will show you how much time you spent in that unit.
You will take a 100-question final exam for this course online. Florida requires you to score 70% or higher to pass, and you must complete the exam within 3 hours. The final exam must be completed in one sitting. If you lose internet connection during your exam you have 20 minutes to log back in and not lose your progress, but the exam timer will continue to run. It is highly recommended to use a hard-wired internet connection. Using a wireless connection may result in repeated connection loss. You may not bookmark or suspend your exam to return to it at a later time. Also the exam will time out due to mouse/keyboard inactivity of 20 minutes. The exam will be closed and not marked. If you time out or fail the first attempt, you must wait 30 days to take the alternate exam.
ACCEPT YOUR AFFIDAVIT
You are required to accept an electronic affidavit as part of the completion of this course stating you have completed each assigned module of instruction. You will need to complete this step before your course is considered complete.
RECIEVE YOUR COURSE COMPLETION CERTIFICATE
Once you complete all course content, pass your exam, and you have completed and retained your affidavit, the school will send you a Course Diploma for your own use and a Course Pass Certificate that you must present to the testing authority in person when you arrive to take the exam at Pearson Vue testing facility.
